Lutheran Women’s Missionary League

The mission of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.
The Olive Branch meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month starting in September and continuing through May. From 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. we will be working on crafts/projects. A list of projects is posted on the LWML bulletin board outside the work room. If anyone would like to join us at 12:30 for lunch, you will need to bring your own sandwich. A dessert and beverage will be provided by the hostess. After lunch from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. we will have our Bible study. As in the past, the hostess will prepare and lead the group in studying God’s word. If crafts are not what you enjoy doing, please consider joining us for lunch and Bible study.
The Mite Box collection occurs on the first Sunday of each month. Based on the Biblical account of the widow’s mite (Luke 21:1-4), the Mite Box is intended for regular contributions of “mites”—offerings above and beyond the support given to congregation and the LCMS. Mite Box contributions amount to millions of dollars that fund district and national mission grants and implement the LWML program. Please place your change in the Mite Box in the back of the sanctuary.
Lutheran Men’s Prayer Breakfast
The men at Mount Olive are invited to participate in a fellowship prayer breakfast that meets on the third Saturday of every month in the church fellowship hall from 8 to 9 a.m. A meal is shared and the pastor or lay minister offers a brief Bible study and takes prayer requests.
Bowling League
The bowling league meets evenings. Two leagues are organized per year. Contact the church office for more information.
Golf Team
The golf team meets twice per month on Saturdays. If you are interested in joining us, contact the church office.
